Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the United States for over forty years. Most famously, she is known for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it famous in the national stage area with Li'l abner's in 1957. She released her album It's Too Late for Tina in the in the same year. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was as Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre which was a 1958 film. The film was met with wide acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway as a somber character to counter her image of the glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. In recent times, she also became a well-known director on popular TV programs like Supernatural as well as The 100. The family she was born into moved out of Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision for the lead role.
