Ina Garten, an American author of cookbooks on cooking as well as Emmy Award-winning host of the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 has 27 seasons to 2020. Ina began her career in writing nuclear energy policies and budgets of the White House. Although she found her job intellectually stimulating initially eventually she lost her interest in it and bought a tiny speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make the shop extremely popular before selling it off before acquiring a pen and writing her first cookbook. Other cookbooks followed, as did magazine columns. The Food Network TV show also debuted which was an enormous success. Ina sells a variety of products, from ingredients for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina did not go to a cooking school and has not worked in restaurants. She's completely self-taught. Ina is well-known as a cook who is simple and has her entertaining cooking style. Some of her most popular recipes are Skillet roasted lemon chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars as well as Mac and cheese.
